Stamped concrete is a layer of cement that has a pattern and texture stamped into it. It is the closest thing to the look of real stone. The groutlines are thicker than a hand trowled surface, and the final result gives the illusion that actual stones have been set. There is a consistant pattern since it is all stamped in "cookie cutter" style. There is a vast array of patterns available, and colors can be customized.

Our process for stamping:

We create a thick, rich texturing over your concrete by first mixing your custom colors into a specially mixed batch of concrete. A thick layer is then poured evenly onto the prepared surface. Once the concrete is ready the stamp is applied to create the texture and pattern that you chose. After the surface dries properly, two coats of sealer are applied and your project is finished.

A hand troweled overlay is similar to the stamped concrete; however, this method will mirror the flaws and irregularities found in nature more so than stamped since it is hand done by our artisans. A base coat is applied to give them a clean working slate. Next, the pattern is taped out by hand allowing for a "perfectly imperfect" look. Another layer  of cement is applied in which your texture in created, followed by hand coloring of the stones. The surface then receives two coats of sealer to complete the project.

With this method you are essentially installing a large work of art on your floors.

This particular enahncement is a modern and unique way to finish a floor. Your chosen color(s) will be sprayed onto a pre-cleaned concrete surface and react to the components held in the existing concrete. There are several different techniques that can be used to manipulate the color, or to create the look of swirled textures or designs within the surface. Acid staining is a popular and inexpensive way to fix up plain concrete. Examples of it can be found in many stores and restaraunts built today, but it also makes for a truly artistic interior or garage floor that will quickly become the envy of your friends.

Epoxies are most commonly used for garage floors, but can be useful and beautiful anywhere that plain concrete exists. They create a smooth, easy to clean surface in rich ,solid colors. We use a multiple step process that includes vigorous cleaning, base coat, decorative chips (optional), top coat, and sealer.

Cool deck (also referred to as lace) is usually used on pool decks and back patios. It is a simple way to add beauty to your living space by adding texture and color to your concrete.

If you have an old overlay that is coming up, or tile that you would like to have removed, we can provide that service for you. This service is available to everyone at our low rates, however customers who are also using Intra-Crete to apply a decorative finish can enjoy a further discounted price.

In perfect weather conditions (hot and dry) for an average sized back patio, driveway or garage each process will generally take 3-5 days to complete. After it is completed you can walk on the surface after 24 hours and replace furniture or drive on it again after 72 hours. (Current customers, please refer to your post application care procedures for the specific cure time for your project)

During the colder winter months the drying time may extend the time it takes to complete the project since every phase must be absolutely dry before continuing to the next step. It will also have an effect on the amount of time until the surface is ready for foot or vehicle traffic. Your installer will give you the appropriate time frame when scheduling and will go over the care instructions after installation.
